Nurturing young minds through creativity

Welcome to Creative Roots Art Therapy. Discover a safe and supportive space for children and young people to explore their feelings and experiences through the power of art. We're here to help build resilience and wellbeing.

What is Art Therapy?

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative art-making to help people explore and express their thoughts and feelings. Using materials such as drawing, painting, or clay can help children and young people communicate emotions that may be difficult to put into words.

The focus is not on artistic skill but on the creative process and what it may represent. With the support of a trained art psychotherapist, the artwork can help individuals better understand their experiences, develop coping strategies, and improve emotional wellbeing.

For children

Supporting children experiencing anxiety, low mood, school stress, or behavioural challenges. Art therapy helps build confidence and develop coping strategies.

For young people

Helping teenagers navigate friendship difficulties, family changes, and build resilience through creative self-expression.

"Creative Roots Art Therapy provided a much-needed safe space for my child to process their feelings. The therapist's approach was incredibly gentle and effective. I've seen a real positive change."
